  • Entrepreneurial Satisfaction Survey – CED's Entrepreneurial Satisfaction Survey Report explores the critical factors in creating and growing an entrepreneurial business. Survey respondents include founders and CEOs of innovation-based entrepreneurial companies in the area who rate not only the relative importance of specific factors, but also weigh in on how the region performs in each category.
  • A Guide to Building Entrepreneurial Networks in North Carolina – This publication (PDF) focuses on starting, growing and sustaining entrepreneurial networks in North Carolina. Networks expert Erik Pages wrote the guide, with support from CED and other partners in the North Carolina Rural Entrepreneurship Development System project through funding by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The guide focuses on why networks matters, challenges to building networks in rural North Carolina, do’s and don’ts to build a network, case studies from North Carolina communities, and a sampling of active networks in the state.
  • Research Triangle Regional Partnership's Clusters Competitiveness Plan: “Staying on Top: Winning the Job Wars of the Future” – Staying on Top is a five-year, $5 million action agenda to generate 100,000 new jobs and increase employment in all 13 counties of the Research Triangle Region of North Carolina. Dozens of organizations, called “institutional partners,” are collaborating to implement 30 actions that will support the growth of key emerging “clusters,” interconnected businesses and support organizations.
