Brooks Malone is a partner at Hughes Pittman & Gupton LLP and heads up the Knowledge-Based-Industries practice group that serves investor-backed life science, medical-device, and information-technology companies.  Brooks currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and has been a CED FastTrac® TechVenture™ Instructor and Duke Start-Up Business Plan Judge for many years.  Brooks is also a listed contributor to the National FastTrac® TechVenture™ Curriculum that was funded by the Kauffman Foundation.  Brooks was named one of the 40 Under 40 in May 2005 by the Triangle Business Journal.
