Don Holzworth is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Durham-based Constella Group. He has spent his entire career supporting and guiding public- and private-sector client efforts to improve human health through research, product development, and public health services. Since assuming responsibility for running the company in 1991, he has grown the company’s revenue from $1 million to more than $200 million. Together with his team of nearly 1,500 employees in 60 countries, Holzworth has never lost sight of his vision to enhance human health around the world, everyday. In 2005, his company raised $61 million in growth capital. Simultaneous with that transaction, his company also acquired Futures Group, nearly doubling the size and revenue of the company and expanding its capabilities and professional services into 55 countries. Late last year, Constella acquired RTP-based Linberry Research Associates while also making the list of the fastest growing private companies in the Triangle for the 10th time. In conjunction with his business acumen, Holzworth has never wavered in his dedication to the community, both locally and globally. Through their Corporate Philanthropy Program, Constella seeks to instill and encourage employee volunteerism, community service, and collective personal support for charitable efforts outside of the company that support enhancing human health.
