Stephen Clark
SpectraSite Communications, Inc.
Stephen Clark is President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SpectraSite, a Cary-based cell phone tower operator. Clark founded the company in 1997. He has been a director of SpectraSite since its formation in May 1997 and Chairman since September 2002. Clark is an accomplished entrepreneur credited with turning around SpectraSite, which completed a financial restructuring in 2003. As SpectraSite’s CEO, Clark also led the company through a recent $3.1 billion merger with Boston-based American Tower Corporation in an all-stock deal. In addition to his success with SpectraSite, Clark is also dedicated to mentoring and supporting other entrepreneurs in the community through his involvement with CED programs and conferences.
