Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards

On June 15, the excitement was palpable as CED honored 18 of the area’s top entrepreneurs, high-growth companies and members of the region’s innovation community during the organization’s 19th annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards at the newly revitalized American Tobacco Historic District in Durham, NC.

With a beautiful night and celebratory setting, over 415 executives, employees, service professionals and other friends of entrepreneurial companies caught the latest wave of innovation-based success stories that North Carolina’s best and brightest have to offer.

In addition to recognizing the award winners, the event featured live beach, soul and rock n’ roll music by The Castaways, as well as a special performance by the Research Triangle Men's Operatic Quartet - including several of CED’s own - which received rave reviews by the local media.

Jeff Clark, 2004-2005 Chairman of the CED Board of Directors, and Christy Shaffer, the current Chairman, celebrate at the 2005 Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards.
