RTP-based Integrian develops and manufactures mobile digital video solutions for the public safety, transportation and corporate security markets that are delivered through strategic partnerships with market leaders. Customers use Integrian's technology to capture high-quality digital video as well as to tag, transmit, archive and search that video for various security and law enforcement purposes.

Reasons for winning the award

Integrian has successfully transformed itself from contract engineering to developing and launching it's own products. The company has rapidly developed mobile digital video solution for law enforcement. Early in 2003, the company attracted the attention of Motorola, who was seeking a strategic partner for this market. By the end of 2003, Integrian wrapped up a Strategic Alliance Agreement with Motorola. This deal was quickly followed by a $5.5 million Series A financing round led by Intersouth Partners, with Wakefield Group and Motorola Ventures participating. In February 2004, Motorola announced the Mobile Video Enforcer, a market leading solution based on Integrian's mobile digital video recorder and video archive server. Integrian plans continued growth as it seeks similar scale opportunities in transportation and corporate security.

History

Integrian has been pioneering mobile and wireless technologies for more than 4 years. Founded in 1999 by Ich-Kien Lao and AJ Dalola as a contract-engineering firm, Integrian has designed, developed, tested and industrialized a wide variety of products and systems for Fortune 500 companies including Ericsson, Sony/Ericsson, IBM, Cingular, Siemens and Sensormatic. Integrian brings this expertise and experience to its own research and product development to create a unique product line offered through OEM relationships.
