CED honored area entrepreneurs and high-growth companies during the organization's annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards & 20th Anniversary Family Celebration on June 9, 2004, at Raleigh's RBC Center. More than 500 executives, employees, service professionals and other friends of entrepreneurial companies enjoyed the awards presentation and a night of carnival games, food, and family fun.
In addition to recognizing the 2004 award winners at the event, CED also celebrated its 20th anniversary with a look at the past, present and future of the organization. Founding board members and many other long-time CED supporters attended the special celebration. Program attendees also saw the "world premiere" of a 3-minute video celebrating innovation and highlighting CED's impact in the entrepreneurial community.
