A4 Health Systems is dedicated to promoting community-based healthcare via HealthMatics Electronic Medical Record Solutions for consolidated clinical, financial and administrative patient information management. Founded in 1970, A4 has nationally implemented software and services in more than 1100 healthcare organizations, including physician groups and practices, and Emergency Departments and hospitals.
Reasons for winning the award
Having grown to over 275 employees and more than 1,000 customers, A4 has shown remarkable growth and profitability in recent years through significant product revenue and acquisition activity. A4 posted significant growth in revenues in 2002. In April 2003, A4 continued its momentum by acquiring New Hampshire-based Compusense to expand A4’s electronic medical record solution offerings.

History
A4 Health Systems, originally founded as Management Systems Associates in 1970, builds its delivery of software and services on over 30 years of experience in medical technology. Through a series of acquisitions, including the recent addition of Compusense, A4 has grown to about 275 employees.
