Reasons for winning the award

Inveresk Research Group announced a successful initial public offering (IPO) on June 27, 2002, of 12 million shares, under the NASDAQ ticker symbol IRGI. In June 2003, the company’s stock had produced a 38% return from the original offering price of $13/share, which put Inveresk among the top 15 performing IPOs in the United States during that time period.

Quote

"An IPO in the middle of 2002 was not for the faint hearted! It was made possible by our continuing strength as a high quality, innovative and profitable services group. Our substantial growth and IPO are a reflection of the commitment of our employees and of our strong and successful client relationships. We help them deal with the highest stakes in their industry." -- Alastair McEwan, Executive Vice President
