Globalization Conference

February 14, 2008, Embassy Suites, Cary, NC The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), in cooperation with the North Carolina Chinese Business Council and TiE, has developed the first-ever Globalization conference to validate the globalization model for entrepreneurs.

Innovators Workshop™

A quarterly workshop in which innovators and prospective entrepreneurs come to a "go/no-go" decision on starting a new business by evaluating the business feasibility of their ideas and the commercial viability of their technologies.

MedTech Conference

March 6, 2008 at Duke University, Fuqua School of Business, Durham, NC. New in 2008, CED's MedTech 2008 will focus on accelerating the growth of the medical device industry in the Southeast.

MedTech Forum

Bi-monthly program on the trends connecting a broad sector of the medical technologies industry, including research, development, and manufacturing firms, suppliers, service companies, hospitals, clinics, and educational institutions.

New Member Orientation

Informs new members of CED's history, mission and programs, while also providing an opportunity to network with other new members.

STREAK

An entrepreneurial mentoring program that prepares new companies for potential presentation to investors from the region’s angel and venture capital communities.

Tech Conference

October 29-30, 2008 at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC An annual industry conference where entrepreneurs, innovators, executives, investors and intermediaries explore the technology sector’s latest trends and preview demos of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions’ hottest new technologies.

University Innovation Showcase

CED's University Innovation Showcase, in partnership with NC State University, NC IDEA and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center will connect university innovators with industry leaders. This event will provide 5-8 NC State University researchers the opportunity to showcase their technologies and findings to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and corporate level executives.

Venture Conference

April 16-18, 2008. An annual venture conference which showcases the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions' best and most diverse investment opportunities, as well as offers expansive entrepreneurial and investor networking.

Venture Capital for Entrepreneurs

CED’s Venture Capital for Entrepreneurs is a two-part program focused on starting and growing a venture-backed company. The program provides early stage entrepreneurs with the relevant knowledge and resources needed to attract funding and create value in today’s business environment.
