Do You Know a Company That Should Present at Venture 2008? Application Deadline Slated for January 11.
December 10, 2007, Research Triangle Park, N.C. – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) is now accepting online applications from Southeast and Mid-Atlantic companies interested in presenting at CED’s 25th annual Venture conference, set for April 16-18, 2008, at Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham, N.C. The early application deadline is scheduled for January 11.
CED is seeking high-growth companies from an array of industries and stages that are looking to raise initial or subsequent rounds of private equity capital. Selected companies will present to hundreds of venture capitalists, angel investors and other financiers from across the country at Venture 2008. Apply to present as an early or late stage company; or to private investors from across the region at the Angel Retreat; or to investor attendees at Start Up Speed Dating.
“In celebration of our 25th Venture conference, CED’s goal is to showcase the most exciting investment opportunities from the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic,” said CED President Monica Doss. “We welcome emerging growth companies across various industries to apply to present at CED’s nationally recognized conference.”
Since 2001, Venture presenters have raised over $1.2 billion in venture capital. Last years event brought together over 800 key dealmakers to experience over 60 of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic’s strongest companies.
Because of the highly competitive selection process, companies are encouraged to submit their applications early in order to receive full consideration during each of the two selection stages. The final application deadline is set for February 8.
