Nine Companies to Present at CED's Angel Investor Retreat
Seed-Stage Startups Will Pitch to Investors on April 24 in Durham, NC
April 5, 2007, Research Triangle Park, NC – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) has selected nine companies to present at CED’s Angel Investor Retreat, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 24 at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club in Durham, N.C.
The Angel Investor Retreat, held during CED’s 24th annual Venture conference, will offer networking, deal-flow and educational opportunities for active angels and early-stage investors across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
The Angel Investor Retreat presenting companies include:
- Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Raleigh, N.C. – www.arborpharma.com) Arbor Pharmaceuticals licenses, develops and commercializes patented, late stage prescription pharmaceutical brands for significant pediatric conditions.
- Clinipace, Inc. (Chapel Hill, N.C. – www.clinipace.com) Clinipace is a clinical research software company providing a single, integrated data capture and study management platform for post-approval research and registries.
- ContactAtOnce! (Roswell, Ga. – www.contactatonce.com) ContactAtOnce! is a Web-based communications service that humanizes businesses and connects them with prospective customers who are doing online research ahead of a big purchase.
- Dental Air Solutions (Holly Springs, N.C. – www.dentalairsolutions.com) Dental Air Solutions develops, markets and sells innovative devices in the dental equipment industry.
- SourceHorizon, Inc. (Greensboro, N.C. – www.sourceauthority.com) SourceHorizon has developed the SourceAuthority.com marketplace to offer a full range of procurement services for manufacturers to acquire engineered components.
- Southeast TechInventures, Inc. (Morrisville, N.C. – www.southeasttechinventures.com) Southeast TechInventures is a technology accelerator focused on developing and transitioning technologies from university labs to the commercial marketplace.
- SQL Sentry, Inc. (Huntersville, N.C. – www.sqlsentry.com) SQL Sentry is a focused enterprise software company that delivers software tools for managing the ever-expanding number of database servers and related IT resources for large and mid-size enterprises
- Virtual Heroes, Inc. (Cary, N.C. – www.virtualheroes.com) Virtual Heroes creates collaborative interactive learning solutions for the Federal Systems, Healthcare and Commercial markets.
- Zenph Studios, Inc. (Raleigh, N.C. – www.zenph.com) Zenph Studios is an entertainment technology company developing audio applications that redefine music production.
In addition to company presentations, CED’s Angel Investor Retreat will also include featured remarks from previously announced speaker Jeffrey E. Sohl, Director of the Center for Venture Research at the University of New Hampshire. Sohl is widely regarded as one of the nation’s leading authorities on angel investing trends.

After the Angel Investor Retreat ends at 1 p.m., investors and presenting companies are invited to stay for the 24th annual Venture conference, which will run through April 25. More than 50 companies from across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic will be presenting to investors at the conference.
There is no additional cost to attend the Angel Investor Retreat for pre-registered Venture 2007 investor attendees. However, advanced registration is required due to limited space.
