RBC Capital Markets Exec to Keynote CED's Engage: Finance

20-Year Industry Veteran Joe Morea Will Speak at Jan. 27 Program; Seven Concurrent Panels to Explore Funding Options and Trends


December 9, 2004, Research Triangle Park, NC – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today announced that Joe Morea, managing director and head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets for RBC Capital Markets, will keynote CED's Engage: Finance. This upcoming event - the first in CED's 2005 Engage series - will be held at the RTP Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 27.

Morea joined RBC Capital Markets in mid 2003 from UBS, where he ran the U.S. Equity Capital Markets. At Paine Webber (the predecessor firm), Morea was COO of the Investment Banking Division. Prior to UBS, Morea co-headed the U.S. Equity Capital Markets at Smith Barney. With over 20 years of Equity Capital Markets experience, Moreaa has been responsible for the origination and execution of several hundred lead managed transactions in a variety of industries, including technology/telecom, healthcare, financials, real estate, energy, and industrial companies.

In addition to Morea's keynote address, Engage: Finance will also feature concurrent panel sessions that delve into subjects such as financing options, growth alternatives and exit strategies. Confirmed session topics at Engage: Finance include the following:
