CED Elects New Board of Directors for 2003-2004

CED Appoints Diverse Group to Serve on Board

June 19, 2003, Research Triangle Park, NC - The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) has elected its new 2003-2004 board of directors to lead the organization through its next year of operations. Les Bethune, a partner with Ernst & Young LLP, will serve as chairman for 2003-2004. In addition, CED has named The Aurora Funds' Jeff Clark as chairman-elect for 2004-2005.

Monica Doss, CED's president, said the new board brings a diverse spectrum of ideas and backgrounds. She said this year's group includes some of the most exceptional entrepreneurial representation to date.

“We're very pleased with the caliber of leaders that we're able to attract to the board,” Doss said. “Because CED's board members are so giving of their time and energy, they enhance the area's entrepreneurial climate year after year.”

Bethune succeeds Steve Nelson, a partner with the Wakefield Group, as chairman. Jeff Clark will take over the reigns as chairman in June 2004. The new members of the board of directors include:
