CED Now Accepting Applications to Present at Venture 2002
"Where Great Minds Meet Smart Money"
December 4, 2001, Research Triangle Park, NC - 2001 The Council for Entrepreneurial Development is now accepting applications to present at Venture 2002, the Southeast's premier venture financing conference. Scheduled for April 30-May 1, 2002, in Chapel Hill, Venture 2002 will continue a 19-year tradition of showcasing North Carolina's hottest investment opportunities to venture capitalists and financiers from throughout the United States.
Since 1999, Venture presenters have raised over $1.2 billion in venture capital. The selection committee is looking for companies from an array of industries who are seeking either initial or subsequent stages of professional equity capital.
"Our committee is seeking the strongest, most fundable companies across North Carolina," said Mitch Mumma, partner with Intersouth Partners and chairman of the 2002 Selection Committee. "Despite the current economic climate, there are still excellent investment opportunities in North Carolina."
In addition to company presentations and exhibits, the conference will include extensive networking opportunities and exclusive investor-only events. For more information on applying to present or general registration, visit www.cednc.org/venture/2002.
