Arsenal Digital to be Acquired by IBM

Cary-based Arsenal Digital Solutions (www.arsenaldigital.com), a data protection and data storage services company, will be acquired by IBM during the first quarter of 2008, according to IBM officials, and will be incorporated into the technology giant’s business continuity and resiliency services unit, a part of its Global Technology Services division. All of Arsenal’s 100 employees will keep their jobs and will work out of IBM’s Research Triangle Park offices. IBM will assume ownership of Arsenal’s 67 existing data centers located in 45 cities on five continents. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
