RTP-based Talecris Biotherapeutics (www.talecris.com) is increasing the size of its footprint, opening a European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. The group will operate as sales and services organization for clients across 15 countries. Some 50 people will be added, a company spokesperson said. More than 40 already have been hired.
Talecris is taking over European distribution of its products from Bayer. The move to establish a presence overseas is part of Talecris’ expansion plan. Talecris, which is a 20-month old firm based on the acquisition of facilities and a plasma business once operated by Bayer, also operates an office in Canada.
Talecris Biotherapeutics is a CED member.
