CEA to Acquire Hagemeyer's Wire Harness Assembly Unit

Smithfield-based Carolina Electronic Assemblers (CEA) (www.ceamanufacturing.com), a manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies, has agreed to acquire the wire harness assembly business of Hagemeyer North America for an undisclosed amount.

CEA said that it will provide employment to the approximately 40 associates currently employed by Hagemeyer at the 120,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility. Terms of the acquisition, which is expected to close in late January 2007, were not disclosed.
