900 Hear from National Venture Capitalists, IT Experts at InfoTech 2001

Close to 900 entrepreneurs, investors, and service professionals came out for CED's 11th annual InfoTech 2001 conference last week in Chapel Hill. Well-known national venture capitalists, Mike Brooks, Venrock Associates, Bill Ford, General Atlantic Partners, and Bill Helman, Greylock Partners, appeared on the "Venture Capitalists' Outlook on the IT Industry" panel with moderator Steve Nelson, Wakefield Group. A lively journalists' panel on the current technology landscape featured Sumi Das, TechTV; Arik Hesseldahl, Forbes.com; Walt Mossberg, The Wall Street Journal; Alex Salkever, Business Week Online; and moderator, Sreenath Sreenivasan, Columbia University.
