UNC Seminar on Open Source Licensing

The next Carolina Innovations Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, November 9 at 5:15 p.m. at UNC-Chapel Hill's Sitterson Hall. The program will focus on "Open Source Licensing: The Basics, The Benefits, The Buzz."

In keeping with the spirit of Open Source and of Conversation, Paul Jones asks attendees (and others) to post questions and areas of interest and concerns as comments on his blog.

A good part, if not all, of the talk will be built from readers' questions. Here is some helpful background material that UNC provided in their event announcement:

* Free Software Foundation
* Open Source Initiative
* GNU Project
* GNU Philosophy including the 4 Software Freedoms
* Software Freedom Law Center
