Gene Haley, founder and CEO of Wilmington Pharmaceuticals, recently shared his thoughts on starting and growing a company in the Coastal region.
Haley's advice for other entrepreneurs:
"It's important that entrepreneurs' ideas and business models be thoroughly thought through. Just as importantly, their ideas must have something unique about them in order to attract capital. With 'me-too' ideas, it is very difficult to attract the capital that is necessary for success."
Haley also reflected on the one-year anniversary of CED-Coastal, which was created after the Coastal Entrepreneurial Council merged with CED in July 2005.
