CED honored area entrepreneurs and high-growth companies last night at the 20th annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards at the American Tobacco Historic District in Durham, NC. More than 400 people attended the sold-out celebration.
The evening concluded with a surprise presentation to Monica Doss, who is celebrating her 20th year as CED's president.
Christy Shaffer, CED's 2005-2006 Chairperson, announced at the event that she has partnered with former CED chairs to create a charitable fund in Monica's name through the Triangle Community Foundation.
The "Monica Doss Charitable Fund" will be a donor-advised fund to allow Monica to support charitable causes of importance to her in the Triangle and beyond.
