Receiving a North Carolina Companies to Watch award is a high honor for second-stage companies in North Carolina, sparking growth and innovation in our state. The 2012 recipients created more than 900 jobs and added $191 million in revenue to our state.

 

Join us in Raleigh on June 7, 2012, for an awards dinner that features the 2012 recipients of the North Carolina Companies to Watch Awards and the entrepreneurial community of the Research Triangle and North Carolina.

80 Members in 80 Days!

 

The CED member who signs up the most new members by June 30, 2012, will win a $350 United Airways credit, which may be used on the new nonstop flight from RDU to San Francisco.

It's that simple. Really. Here's a few additional guidelines:

  • A "potential new member" is any individual or company that does not currently hold an active CED membership.
  • Potential new members must pay in full and start new membership by June 30, 2012.
  • The contest winner will be announced on July 15, 2012.

CED’s Investor Brown Bag Series provides an informal opportunity for entrepreneurs who are CED Members to network with and learn more about specific VC, angel groups and corporate venturing groups.  

 

Join us on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the American Underground Classroom at 11:30 PM and hear Pappas Ventures discuss early-stage investing, their investment strategy, and how to appeal to VCs as a growth-oriented company.

The CED Venture Mentor Service supports innovation and entrepreneurial activity by matching entrepreneurs with skilled volunteer mentors. The program uses a team mentoring approach to assist entrepreneur(s) through sessions that provide practical, day-to-day professional advice, coaching and action plans.

 

VMS is best suited for full-time entrepreneurs with operational questions, who are ready for an initial advisory team. If you are in early planning or startup stages, we recommend participating in the CED FastTrac Program.
