PitchScrub provides high-growth entrepreneurs with feedback on their investor pitch.    Entrepreneurs receive the opportunity to pitch to a customized panel of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, subject matter experts and legal experts in a closed-door environment.  The format includes a 15 minute presentation followed by 45 minutes of intensive feedback.

Am I a good fit for PitchScrub?

The companies that qualify for PitchScrub must:

• Be based in North Carolina and the Research Triangle Area
• Be actively planning to attract venture capital, angel funding, or other funding opportunities within the next 6 months
• Have completed or been recognized by at least one of the following programs:
  • CED’s Venture Mentoring Service Program
  • CED’s FastTrac Program
  • NCIDEA’s Portfolio Companies
  • NC Biotechnology Center’s Portfolio Companies
  • Carolina Launch the Venture
  • Duke’s Start-Up Challenge
  • NC State High Tec
  • BIG

Who will be on each panel?

Each PitchScrub panel will be customized for the selected business and will include industry-specific:

• CEOs
• CFOs
• Angel Investors
• Venture Capitalists
• Marketing/ Business Development Specialists
• Subject Matter Experts
• Corporate BD

I am interested--how can I apply?

To participate, companies must apply directly to program director Anne Katharine Wales. A steering committee will select 2-3 company participants for each month's PitchScrub. When selected, companies are given PitchScrub guidelines and 3-weeks notification. During that time, companies are expected to prepare for their PitchScrub presentation.
