Application Deadlines

Applications will be reviewed in three stages:

• All applications received by the first application deadline, November 30, 2005, will be reviewed at that time and the first round of confirmed conference presenters will be selected from this group.
   
• All applications received by the second application deadline, December 30, 2005, along with those not selected in Stage 1, will be reviewed and the second round of confirmed conference presenters will be selected from this group.
   
• All applications received by the final application deadline, January 31, 2006, along with those not selected in Stage 1 or 2 above, will be reviewed and the final group of companies will be selected as confirmed conference presenters at that time.

No applications will be accepted after January 31, 2005.

Because selection is highly competitive, companies are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible so that they will have the opportunity to receive full consideration during as many of the stages as possible for all conference presenter slots.

Fees

• If you are not a member of CED, you must pay an application fee of $125, which includes a one-year membership to CED for the company.
   
• If you are accepted to present at Venture, you will be assessed $299, which helps defray CED's expenses (i.e., exhibit needs, conference material, etc.). Conference admission fees for up to four company representatives are included in this fee. This fee does not include accommodation and travel expenses.

Completing the Application

• You must be a North Carolina-based company to be eligible for consideration to present at Venture.
   
• Past Venture presenters cannot present two consecutive years UNLESS you presented as an Early Stage Presenter the year prior and are planning to present as a Main Stage Presenter the following year.
   
• Please complete the following application in its entirety. An asterisk ( * ) indicates required information.
   
• The Council for Entrepreneurial Development takes every precaution to protect our users' information. All information submitted is kept confidential amongst CED and the Venture Selection Committee. Your information is protected both on- and off-line.
   
• Reminder: In order for your application to be considered complete, you will need to attach your business plan AND executive summary separately. Please remove all heavy graphics. Combined, the attachments may not exceed 4MB.
