Convergent Technologies Changing the Face of Medicine

“Convergence” means the integration of drugs, devices, nanotechnology, software, and electrical engineering into smart devices. Is it the great hope of the future for advanced medical technologies or just a lot of hype based upon 1 big product (drug eluting stents). Panelist will talk about practical realities, lessons learned from first generation combination products and their predictions for the future of convergence products.

Global Clinical Trials

An important milestone for an early stage, advanced medical technology company is the selection of a site to test its new medical device for the first time. With regulatory hurdles increasing across Europe and Asia, companies are faced with a challenging environment for First-In-Man (FIM) testing.
