In response to the government and industry challenge of developing new technologies rather than simply continuing to patch the existing network, ZellComp has designed a patented, innovative prefabricated fiber-reinforced composite decking system. The ZellComp system is lightweight and long lasting, but, in addition, ZellComp's unique two-part design, resulting in an “open” system, is less expensive to manufacture, is easier and faster to install, inspect and repair, and offers the additional advantage of utilizing mechanical fasteners, avoiding the construction difficulties encountered by other composite decks tha are bonded together with adhesives during installation.
