Howard Anderson is a founding partner and Senior Managing Director of YankeeTek Ventures. He is also founder and chairman of The Yankee Group, a high-technology research and consulting firm, where he served as President and CEO from 1970-1999. Under his leadership, in 1996, The Yankee Group was sold to Primark, a New York Stock Exchange firm.

Howard is also the William Porter Distinguished Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he teaches two courses on entrepreneurship: New Enterprises and Entrepreneurs in the Internet. He was one of three founders of Battery Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm specializing in technology companies, where he has served as Managing Partner and Special Limited Partner since the company's inception.

Network World recently selected Howard as one of the 25 most important people in communications. He has presented keynote addresses at both Comdex and Network Interop.
