      Come hear Todd Masonis, visiting from the bay area, share the Plaxo founding story how they got their idea, and how they successfully faced the challenges of raising money and hiring the right people. In addition to sharing key management duties with Plaxo co-founder Cameron Ring and Vice-President of Engineering Rikk Carey, Masonis is Plaxo's lead user interface designer and Windows programmer. As co-founder of Plaxo, Masonis has appeared on CNBC's morning investors show Squawk Box and has spoken at technology industry events for the Software & Information Industry Association and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among others. Prior to founding Plaxo, Masonis was co-founder of two start-ups, netElement and Natient Technologies. He also served as a systems developer with e-steam, Inc. Masonis received a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Computation Linguistics from Stanford University.

      With nearly 3 million members and 1 billion connected contacts, Plaxo keeps people connected by securely updating and maintaining the information in one’s address book. Plaxo, a privately held start-up located in Mountain View, CA, was founded by the co-founder of Napster and two Stanford engineers including Todd Masonis. They have raised $20 million from some of the most successful firms in the industry including Sequoia Capital, Globespan, Cisco Systems, Yahoo!, Netscape, and Amazon. CBS MarketWatch has featured Plaxo and compared their startup story to that of Google and Yahoo.
