The Center is located in Research Triangle Park, N.C., between Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Access is convenient from all three cities and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Drive times given in parentheses may be greater during rush hour or when accidents occur.

From Raleigh-Durham International Airport | From Downtown Durham | From Durham Via U.S. 70 | From Raleigh or Cary Via I-40 | From Raleigh Via U.S. 70 | From Chapel Hill

From Raleigh-Durham International Airport (10-minute drive)
1. Follow signs from the airport to I-40.
2. Take I-40 West toward Durham and Chapel Hill.
3. Where I-40 splits in Research Triangle Park, bear right onto the Durham Freeway North (147).
4. Take the Alexander Drive exit and turn left onto Alexander.
5. Go through one immediate traffic light, then turn left at the next light into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline, where the brick National Humanities Center sign is. Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.

From Downtown Durham (10-minute drive)
1. Get on the Durham Freeway South (147).
2. Take the Alexander Drive exit and turn right onto Alexander.
3. At the next traffic light, turn left into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline (at the white National Humanities Center sign). Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.

From Durham Via U.S. 70 (20-minute drive)
1. Take U.S. 70 East, toward Raleigh.
2. Before reaching RDU International Airport, turn right onto Alexander Drive.
3. Stay on Alexander Drive for 4.5 miles, passing through five traffic lights.
4. At the sixth traffic light, turn left into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline (at the white National Humanities Center sign). Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.

From Raleigh or Cary Via I-40 (20-minute drive)
1. Take I-40 West toward Chapel Hill.
2. Where I-40 splits in Research Triangle Park, bear right onto the Durham Freeway North (147).
3. Take the Alexander Drive exit and turn left onto Alexander Drive.
4. Go through one immediate traffic light, then turn left at the next light into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline, where the white brick National Humanities Center sign is. Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.

From Raleigh Via U.S. 70 (20-minute drive)
1. Take U.S. 70 West (Glenwood Avenue), toward Durham.
2. Just past RDU International Airport, a sign will indicate Research Triangle Park to the left.
3. Turn left onto Alexander Drive and go 4.5 miles. You will pass through five traffic lights.
4. At the sixth traffic light, turn left into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline (at the white National Humanities Center sign). Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.

From Chapel Hill (20-minute drive)
1. Take I-40 East toward Raleigh.
2. After entering Research Triangle Park, take Exit 279-B to the Durham Freeway North (147).
3. On the Durham Freeway North, take the Alexander Drive exit and turn left onto Alexander.
4. Go through one immediate traffic light and then turn left at the next light into the driveway opposite GlaxoSmithKline, where the white brick National Humanities Center sign is. Go up the hill and bear right into the Center's driveway.
